Jaguar BCM Repairs
The BCM (Body Control Module) on Jaguar vehicles, specifically 2013-2015 XF are notorious for being easily corrupted by battery voltage issues. Even a simple vehicle battery replacement can cause the vehicle to no longer recognise the keys.

The most common failure is the central locking no longer working from the remote fob after battery disconnect.
The second and more frustrating failure is complete vehicle immobilisation and “smart key not found” warning on the instrument cluster.

Jaguar U1000-00
U1000-00 BCMB SOLID STATEDRIVER PROTECTION ACTIVATED - DRIVER DISABLED
The U1000-00 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) in a Jaguar indicates that the Body Control Module (BCM) has entered a self-protection mode. This happens when the BCM detects repeated short circuits and disables outputs that have experienced short circuits to prevent damage to the BCM and other systems.
If the this Fault Code is cleared too many times without the short being repaired the output will be permanently disabled, the recommended procedure by Jaguar to solve this is to replace the BCM with a new one.
However we are able to repair this issue with a software fix, aslong as the short is then repaired the module will then function as normal again.
